General Questions

Q: What types of pain conditions do you treat?
A: We treat a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, joint pain, neuropathy, arthritis, fibromyalgia, headaches, and more.

Q: What is interventional pain management?
A: Interventional pain management uses minimally invasive techniques—such as nerve blocks, injections, and implantable devices—to reduce or eliminate chronic pain.

Appointments & Visits

Q: How do I make an appointment?
A: You can call our office directly or fill out the appointment request form on our website. A member of our staff will contact you to confirm your visit.

Q: What should I bring to my first appointment?
A: Please bring your ID, insurance card, a list of current medications, any relevant imaging (MRI, X-rays), and your referral if required.

Q: How long will my first visit take?
A: Initial consultations typically take 30–45 minutes to allow time for a comprehensive evaluation, physical examination and discussion of treatment options.

Insurance & Billing

Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: Tampa Pain MD accepts Medicare ONLY. Please note that this does NOT include Medicare Advantage Plans.

Q: What if I don’t have Medicare?
A: We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as HSA and FSA cards. Please refer to our professional fees page here.
